Taffspeed Silencer

I´m trying to put a new filling in my taffspeed silencer, can´t get the end cap off. Is it just been secured by the circlip?

yes,you could do with a pair of heavy duty
circlip pliers though

... bought a new pair already but the bloody thing seems to be stuck!!!
