Why does the vac fuel pump get used and not an electric one?

vacuum pump is a simple "mechanical" answer it works with the suction of the rotating crank - so as long as the crank is turning the pump is working - you cant get caught out if you have some sort of electrical failure leaving you short of fuel.

so its nothing to do with fuel pressure or any thing like that then. Ok brilliant I'll look into getting one fitted to mine.

Cheers
