I followed the guys story on the other site and fitted one to my series 1 looks the dogs and sorted the tank sender out with a unit from a Kawasakii GPZ600 it was the smallest one I could see on ebay breakers. Took a bit of messing and the tank I am using is a remade one without baffles so lots of room inside.
The rev counter takes its pickup from the CDI unfortunately it reads too high as its set up for 4 stroke and the ebay Chinese copy of the Acewell is not adjustable. Half the price though at £60
So anyone know of a unit or how to knock up a unit that can divide High voltage pulses letting one through and stopping the other?
The full price Acewell version has a mode to adjust in the setup but hey ho looks great

It fits between the original bezel and the headset with a small shaving of the headset top
You do have to loose quite a bit of the case to clear the pulleys not a lot of room on a series 1
Great work guys
