help need to strenghten my single saddle

my series 2 ts1 is my pride & joy .....but to many puddings is putting a strain on its single saddle the spring isnt strong enough for my fat arse





so the inner springs of the seat are catching on the air scoop so i placed a dense piece of foam underneath to handle my weight....(diet needed i have read your thoughts)






so i purhased this orginal seat springs from a different model








but i am running into problems......

how do i alter the seat base to house the springs, the springs seem to high to fix under the seat so any ideas were to purchase the right ones to make this one off single saddle so that my journey to ireland will be easier on rear end

ive used single seats,i love the look but on a tuned ts1 you soon get sea sick!!!!,i tried stiffening up the springs by pre-loading the spring,ie
use maybe a longer bolt,or if yours is long enough add some washers the same diameter as the spring,or if you have access to a lathe turn a spacer with a spigot on to centralise the spring,tighten to the origional point,now the spring will be pre loaded.
its trial and error really,other than that source anew spring
