Has anyone fitted bridgeport valves to mk3 scootrs rims? It looks like the closest ones that should fit, appear to be the 11.3mm ones, but they seem a little tight, so I don't want to force them and damage the sealing washer. The seal is actually tapered, so will it just pull in?
Or, does the rim valve hole have to be drilled/reamed out slightly? If so, to what size?
I've removed enough metal from the part of the rim that would touch the valve, so it's just the hole size that is an issue.
Thanks.

ive got one to do so will do it this weekend and let you know how i get on
ok just done mine i had to weld the hole smaller on my rim as it was letting the valve float around while i was at it i took the curve off where the valve rubber seats so its now square and a bang on seal .i had removed the piece of metal above the valve as my rim centres are fully welded in .i set it up so the valve sits further away from the retaining bead so its easier to bolt it in .hope this helps

Thanks for the help. Got to say, there's a bit more work involved than I thought.Don't really want to get any welding done if I can help it.
Thanks again.

I think it may only be the smaller diameter valves that have the 'o' ring type seal, as mine are from demon tweeks but are the larger ones? The design may have changed or the're also selling copies? Reason I say this is because I bought some off ebay first and they came with tapered seals, which I thought were copies, so I bought some from demon tweeks and the're the same.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.
