Anybody any ideas, why does it tick over smoothly with the choke out and die with it in, whatr do i need to change, up my main jet, atomiser ?

I have fitted a 256mm PHBH 4 stroke carb which has been converted to 2 stroke to a 200 stage 4 engine. I run mine on a AV266 atomiser with a x7 needle on second clip from top and a 125 main jet but soon to change down to a 122 as it revs out abit on the 125, pilot i think is a 55

Sounds like your choke isn't working when cold. Common cause for this is that the cable isn't adjusted properly or the cable is too long and the choke lever isn't actually pulling the brass choke plunger up in the carb. Hard to start
I have a Honda 205 kitted sx150 run with a 30mm dellorto dont know the jetting off hand but i run it without a filter. If i try to start it with choke on it wont start but if i put a foam filter on along with choke on it will start up handy enough but it wont run with the filter on it just bogs down...

Its not catching on anything when i kick it over it starts up when the kickstarter is half way down and then kind off back fires and kicks the kickstarter back up
