Thanks

Re: How do you use a battery to test non battery lighting?
Thanks again for prompt response, yes just the junction box no regulator, i've a multimeter too & also an old Vespa bulb holder i use with wires/croc clips i usually use when doing timing on points models.
Will try the above method when i can find time.

Re: How do you use a battery to test non battery lighting?
Thanks for quick response, can tell we're all getting older, in days gone by we'd be out on a Saturday night lol... It's an original 6v AC system on an Italian GP which i want to test, just easier in my opinion to do this way rather than fire up particularly as it may be late on in the evening when ...

How do you use a battery to test non battery lighting?
I've heard it is possible to somehow wire a battery up to a AC (non - battery) system to check electrics/lighting rather than to have to kick the engine up to see if they are working correctly. If so how exactly & if so i would assume a 6v battery for 6v systems & likewise 12v for 12v systems.

Re: GP150 Problems - runs with choke on, high revving...
UPDATE: Without tempting fate after trying two different pilot jets (of same size) which were both cleaned with blasting WD40 through the holes i tried another but this time i cleaned the top pin hole with some copper wire then WD40, not as though you can really see whether its blocked as it's that ...

Re: GP150 Problems - runs with choke on, high revving...
if you had it running with choke on your carb pilot jet must be lean and the choke has made up the difference then when running without choke its stalling also check manifold nuts are tight Thanks, as i say it is a completely standard set so standard pilot jet, i've all standard jetting to it, i've...

GP150 Problems - runs with choke on, high revving...
I have a compeletley bog standard Italian GP150, starts within a couple of kicks, initially it would only run with the choke on. Since then I have stripped the engine & put new drive side seal, inner mag seal (left the outer one in place), fitted new rings as others badly worn, new head gasket, ...

Lambretta Speedo Light Always On
I've an Italian GP150 totally standard 6v AC (non-battery), when i kick this up & it is only on ignition (first right turn) the speedo light is on, it wasn't before but is now, can only assume some wires maybe touching after working on it. Anyone who's more electrically minded got any ideas? Tha...
