Re: Shed Find (My Shed)
great thread that reminded me of the scooters I used to build, with spraycan paintjobs and having to use and refurbish what you had. They may not have been perfect (in my case) but they didn't need to be and put as big a smile on my face as any custom I have built!

Re: Kickstart shafts
if your looking to replace (as I was) I purchased the casa Lambretta one from scooter restorations. not the cheapest but well made and required no machining.

Re: exaust port heights help
If you have the barrel off you can do a port map with a piece of paper that should give him the info he needs

Re: exaust port heights help
That's a very vague question to a potentially complicated answer. Might be best to backtrack a bit....what pipe are you having altered, who is altering it? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk Dan. Might be a nice little article comparing the port timings of the most common kits for the large/small b...

Re: exaust port heights help
Isn't it cheaper and easier to find a pipe that has the characteristics your looking for ( where you want the power and how you want it to rev and what port timings it is designed to work best within ) and then match the barrel to suit? that's what I did

Kickstart woes part 2 mystery solved
I posted a couple of weeks back about my Kickstart jamming and smashing the teeth on the 1st gear. I opened the side casing saw looked at the damage and left it there. Well after getting the parts I needed from AF Rayspeed (finally!) and an early finish at work today I thought it was time to fix it....

Re: Does AF rayspeed really exist!?
Are these close ratio boxes made from cheese? Why are so many getting damaged? Mine was due to kickstart shaft piston failing but I have heard that they don't like high HP motors. If I can't get hold of AF I might end up putting a GP box in I'd of though a gearbox would be made of much harder mater...
