I agree with rosscla
The shim in- between the chritmass three and the spider must be flat, in good condition too... only needs to touch the spider, never the crownwheel once you tight the clutch locking nut

I had a problem with my surflex... not the same clutch, but the rooth cause can be the same since you told something about oil leak just in that zone :
Did you checked whether the clutch's last plate is touching the kick start shaft?

I had to put a 2,5mm base gasket to match the ports in the mugello on BDC

I have both of them installed on several big blocks. Config Variations Keihin PWK 28 on the BGM DellOrto PHBH 30 on the Mugello MecEur 58x110 on the Mugello BGM 60x110 Crankshaft on the BGM-RT Same Filter, crankshaft, flywheel and exhaust. Kitronik-SB on both Same gearbox ratio too Best....... BGM-R...
