Alright pal I had the same problem with an engine I was working on a few weeks ago. The groove in the kickstart shaft had worn where the pin goes up and down and I ended changing the kickstart shaft in the end which resolved the problem!! I did all the stuff suggested in the other posts and the kick...

I had a layshaft snap on me a few years ago (2009) It was a "new" at the time SIL layshaft . The engine it was in was a TS1 used for rallies and euros so had about 15,000 miles on it. It snapped at the bit where the O ring goes. Luckily I was on a quiet country back road so no traffic to fly into. I...

Has anybody got any photos of the strengthened variotronic flywheel? Just wondered what Cambridge do to the flywheels to strengthen them before I decide if its worth doing to mine.
