Yes you will probably softened it but it all depends on how long the heat was applied for I'm guessing if it turned blue it was quite a while, although you have softened it there should be no massive affect on the strength but it will now be less durable hope this helps

i havnt checked the frame i have now loctited the cones in position and changed the 100/90 tyre and its stopped rubbing just a bit close and the wheel is a little off cock to the frame but not much

My series 3 li has an rb 20 in, i have just taken it out and serviced it but when it all went back in the scoot the rear wheel was rubbing against the panel rollers, I have checked the engine mounts they are fine the cones are all ok I have replaced the rear tyre and it is an s1, checked the rear hu...

if your carb needs setting up there is a good guide here:

it may help, my lambretta was doing the same when i had a 175 kit on i put it down to the float needle as you had to run it off when it was hot.

hi for the threads in the frame i would either put helicoils or timeserts in just incase the thread gets damaged you can always pull them out and replace them if needed just a thought though

i think with the standard fuel tap it is 8 litres full capacity and 0.7 litres reserve

i think it might be a mazzucchelli crank shaft because i dont think the mec have the window machined out not 100% though
