V1 Mugello 225

V1 Mugello 225 cylinder wanted. Head and piston not required and barrel must be standard (no porting). Bore/plating can be fine or in need of a replate.

Thanks in advance.

Re: Uni rear hub cone

The splines should not come all the way through but it is hard to tell whether this is the correct cone from photos. In order to assess it you really want to be examining how the cone fits into the corresponding seat from the inside (cone in hub when it is off the bike).

Re: BGM / RT 225CC KIT

Really you need to determine what exhaust you want to use before you can determine the gearing as pipe choice will make a huge difference to the ratio that you need. If people are going to come back with worthwhile recommendations then you'll need to confirm how you like to ride (town, tour, sedate ...

Re: BGM / RT 225CC KIT

Right chaps i,ve bought one of these kits ( got a good deal on it too i think ) next question is whats the best gearbox/sprocket set up to use with it , i was thinking Li 150 as i,ve already got a good spare one , thanks .. what exhaust (and carb)? This will really influence the gearing required.

Re: Chain tension and scootopia chain

Don't get too hung up on accuracy, the 6mm is only intended as a rough guide. When you have a feel for it you'll not even consider the measurement, just know that 'it's about right', by feel. However, I'd suggest that it is 6mm total... being 6mm (ish) slack that you can gently push the chain up, an...

Re: BGM / RT 225CC KIT

Pulling a 4th gear means nothing, unless you consider the rev range of the motor at the same time. Speed relates to gear ratio and RPM ceiling... and the ability to pull said ratio. If you look at AF's gearing recommendations (similar to what is shown in Sticky's) for the same TS1 225 across the ran...

Re: V force reed, are they worth it?

A tuner that I have great respect for once told me that you'll switch to VForce and instantly feel the benefit and LOVE them... then, after having to replace them far more frequently, get bored of the increased maintenance and 'side of road' issues and move back to something more reliable. HOWEVER, ...

Re: Cowboy cylinder porting

First thing is not to trust anything Jetex for jet size as they are frequently miles out. JETEX bodies are often fine but can also be problematic. If you're using Dellorto jets and atomized then I'd look no bigger than 45 for pilot and imagine that you may find the 5899-4 (GP150) atomized cleans up ...
