Re: Removing my disc brake
Know exactly what you mean with the PX disc "star" auto type hubs....they look awful & I hate them as well... ! Another option is to a fit a Grimeca 80's style hub....the ones that came with the semi-hydraulic disc brake kits in the 80's.....They are actually Pentagon shaped but...

Re: Ancillotti ve seat lock sizing
Hi Mongoose, If the lock doesn't seem fit right I'd check first before you damage the seat....Beedspeed do replacement locks so a quick phone call or e-mail on Monday morning may save you a bit of unnecessary grief.....In the meantime have a look at their website as this may also provide useful info...

Re: T5 Exhaust
Used to have a Mickeck mark 1 on my standard P2 many years ago [1991] & that also struggled if not wound up....not brilliant for rallies if hills & headwinds encountered.....did replace it with a Micron + big carb [1992] which gave a decent improvement....My mate still has a mark 1 Mickeck o...

Re: T5 Exhaust
Thanks for the further comments guys... As I said earlier the 80mph on the rolling road was advised verbally by MSC when I picked the scooter up last week...I wasn't there to verify this but given the point by bazman, I would take it as potentially possible - albeit flat out nothing else to give etc...

Re: T5 Exhaust
Thanks for the suggestions guys.... Should point out the motor has only done about 25 miles since full rebuild & the 80mph was acheived by Malc Anderson at MSC on their rolling road - not out on the open road (yet anyway)!!.....I did raise my eyebrows when Malc told me & then he raised his w...

T5 Exhaust
Folks, Firstly apologies if this has ever been discussed in another thread anywhere.... Got my brothers old 1987 mark 1 T5 back on the road recently...it's the DDK one that was in Scootering magazine [issue 309 March 2012] last time it was on the road was 1993.... :) Anyway it's had a full engine re...

Re: px disc front wheel hub.
Phil, You can do it at home easily enough.....in the past I have used sockets to drive the outer bearing shell home whilst resting the other side of the hub on bits of flat timber with old rags so it doesn't damage anything...other usueful tips are; 1)Put the bearings in the freezer so they contract...

My 1971 GP125 Cutdown project from 2005/06 built into a matt black TS1 with usual goodies, & a touch of dayglow orange just for the hell of it......... http://i1226.photobucket.com/albums/ee414/37008xotgd/Lambretta%20GP200%20TS1%20Cutdown/GP200Cutdown2002051.jpg http://i1226.photobucket.com/albu...

Re: I f***in hate scooters!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Years ago (88) my P200 spat it's little end bearing round the crank mouth area.....damage was not as bad as yours, but the general opinion of MSC & other demi-experts was a new set of casings...for peace of mind really....Thankfully however a spare complete 200 motor out of a wrote off P2 was aq...
