Drill and tap a thread in the end and put a grease nipple and washer on it so it looks original

Re: Indian gearbox
Lots of questions, I dont think an Indian Box is any worse than any other in the way its made. I tend to think that they take a lot of stick as does anything else in that neck of the woods. It depends on what engine you are going to fit it. A standard 150 build will be fine, a rip-roaring 255 maybe ...

Re: Series 2 hard to kick over
You have got a lot of extra adjustments on the ramp on a None GP side case. Personally I prefer the ramp system but it takes a lot of adjustments to get it engaging the gearbox with only the shortest travel and still missing the gear when it's running. You want the piston fully retracted, at rest, b...

Re: Series 2 hard to kick over
Could this be the Kickstart shaft kissing the Clutch? The replacement shafts have a bit more meat on the knuckle and doesn't leave a lot of room. They used to sell a reamer tool that skims 1-2mm of the face of the kickstart hole and bush on the side case so it sits back a bit further, and a thicker ...

Re: Can I use a 5pin vespa regulator?
I can't think of any Vespa 5 pin reg with the connections you describe. The 2 common 5 pins are marked G, G, +B, C earth and A, A, B+, G earth. The first one is suitable for a single output stator, the second isn't. Ok pretty well up on Lambretta DC running wassels but a mate has asked me to have a...

Re: 12v DC wiring
I presume the bike is running, Most new looms AC or DC only have one feed wire from the back to the headset, It will more than likely be a brown and stop off at the rear Brake pedal and the horn before getting to the headset. But before you get there you need to connect your DC regulator, as above t...

Re: Bloody lights !
Rare for a stator lighting coils to pack in. Easy to check continuity with a voltmeter often the cable has been rubbing the flywheel or the final earth tab has parted company or a loose rivet all easy fixes.

Re: Bloody lights !
with a Voltmeter or at least 12V test lamp with a couple of wires soldered to it, it's easy enough. 1st thing is anything working? Depending on your loom, lots of simplified AC or DC? ones kicking around then do you have a Key switch light or handlebar. The simplest way to answer your question your ...

Re: Jerez 22 leaking
Is it leaking from the gasket seal or running down the carb when the engine is not running. All the jetex carbs I have had the gasket is not the problem its the float or needle not stopping the flow when full. Check the float has a bit of play sideways on the pin. they are often a tight fit between ...

Re: not another ignition question!
The full DC wassel conversion with the extra wire added to the stator is great, if you cant solder by a BGM or whoever is doing them at the moment. The output going to your Brown feed will be over 13.5VDc running so simply connect a Battery to the Brown and it will be trickle charged. You do need to...
