Re: Clubman on GT186 - Ex Box?

If you can find one, you could do worse than an RS Clubman on a GT186. Mine had 17hp and pulled 4.6 gearing. No racing snake off the line or TS1 chaser, but could sit flat out on the motorway, well above 70mph.

Second owner tends to be/act like a hooli, so give any you come across a good once over.
Less likely with an F than an RR, to be fair.

Re: Motorcycle options ??

Just over a grand would get you a lowish mileage 600.

Re: Clutch Enhancement?

Possibly ran it with an expansion on. This might make it slightly more reachable.

Re: Fascinating article on standard exhaust performance

How much do they throttle any engine at above 5000 revs though?
Presumably if you do all your riding below 50mph, it'd be fine. But who does that?

Not while I've got my strength.
And when that fails, there's a thing called 'electric start'.

Re: Welcome to the 21st Century

Finally I've bit the bullet and swapped my trusty 22mm Dell'orto for a 25mm PHBL. I've always run standard carbs previously. But finally I fitted a kit that needs a bigger carb, and what a difference it makes. It just feels better all round. It remains to be seen if it is any less economical, but t...

How much can the gear be changed without also having to change the tree cluster?
How much would you want to change it? I'm fairly sure DRT make all sorts of different gearing options.
What is it you want to achieve?

Re: Tyre Choices

I've had some MC20 Monsums on my coop. SIP seems to be marketing them as rain tyres now. They weren't when I got them.
They are excellent in the wet. If I remember right.. they're good in the dry, but do wear quickly. My rear one is about half worn out inside 800km.
