Re: Starts but won't go
Quick update - you'll like this. Cleaned carb again, no better. Cleaned all connectors, no better. Went to try a new plug and the plug cap was just perched on top of the plug. Pushed on fully and guess what. It works perfectly. I'm an idiot. Alex

Re: Starts but won't go
Thanks Chris. Problem I've got is its a varitronic kit - as far as I know that means I need a new stator, so wanted to check that was definitely the cause before getting one. Uness i'm wrong, I didn't think the replacement coils could be used with that kit? I cant grumble too much, the kit has been ...

Re: Starts but won't go
Worth a look, thanks. Is there an idiots guide to checking that? A new one is about £100 so I'd like to test it firstchris2470 wrote:I've see exactly this on a VaspaT5, it was a faulty stator pick up unit.

Thanks for the reply. I will have a look at that. I have to say it does feel fuel related but boggy as if it was flooding.
What is the best way to look at the float valve?

Starts but won't go
Hi, My scooter has been sat for a while in the garage (probably 8 months). In that time, its been started and idled almost weekly. Last week I took it out, started first kick and all seemed well, but after around 1 mile, it died. Restarted no problem at all and idled fine, but as soon as I put it in...

Gearing
Hi,
Running a mugello 186 on LI150 box. Was on 16/46 with a clubman and all fine.
Changing to a Fresco pipe. Will 16/46 be too tall now or should it be ok?

Re: Changing exhausts - what else needs changing?
Changing exhaust to under kickstart fresco. Why? Do you like falling off every time you turn right? The ground clearance is terrible. It does look less clearance than the clubman, but i thought i would give it a whirl. Always fancied one. Any ideas on gearing and jet change? Its a bit revvier so as...

Changing exhausts - what else needs changing?
Hi,
Currently running a muggy 186 with 30mil PHBH, Ram Air filter and AF Clubman on an LI150 box with 16/46.
Changing exhaust to under kickstart fresco. So questions are:
1) Do I need to go back to 15/46
2) any suggestions for starting point on jetting?
Alex
