Its not Matt, sprayed this on today and ffs there's a satin sheen and that's with a flat primer. Its more like a greyer shade of their satin black.f@@king Bollox

If you you do a final wet coat with Simoniz matt it does seem to have a sheen not dissimilar to their satin. Try following the wet coat after 5/10 mins, by pulling back a foot or so & literally dry dust the final coat. Plastikote does pretty good matt, but I have a feeling it's a polyurethane & may react with most 1k acrylics, lacquers & celly. Hycote is compatible with Simoniz, but it's gone seriously pissy these days, not good value anymore unfortunately. The Hycote Bodyshop range is ok when yer stuck, but still pi$$ compared to Simoniz

I've bought "matt" paint from them Nev and it had the same properties i.e. Satin finish.

The replacement tin was just the same.
Did you have to do that?

I've used Halfords own brand 'matt black'' and was happy enough with the results.... think from memory it cost about £7.50 for a 500ml tin.

Got any pics? I'm sure I used Halfords matt black once, and it wasn't as matt as I thought it would be.
This was ten years ago though.
