Lynce rear shoccker question

Does anyone know if there should be a spacer bush on the rear top shocker mount? I have just fitted an Escort shock and the mounting spindle on the frame of my Series 80 seems a longer that necessary, there's about 1/4" before the thread starts
Some very large washers would sort it out but it's as if the shock should have a wider mounting eye.

yes, lince shocks have a wider mounting eye.
tip: sell the escort. the original lince shock is ten times better and lasts
nearly "forever". they are still available and not rare if you ask around a little.
ortherwise use washer as distance piece.

Thanks m8, I thought that had to be the case but hadn't heard it mentioned unlike the front ones. The Escort has to go back on enay anyway as it's too long (312mm) and the JL3 I was fitting bashes on the crossmember

The Lynce one is only an option if they are 300mm?

I'm guessing that some of the lads who sell the R1/R6 shocks may well have proper thick spacers which would be better than a series of washers which would crush together. I got some off a lad on the LCGB site a couple of years ago (PM sent)
