have heard conflicting reports about running in or not, you can get the polishing effect on your rings if you take it too easy to start with , is this correct ? previously the piston was holed due to jetting issues which has been resolved now....jut dont want to knacker the barrel as its taken me ages to sort out.

any advice greatly appreciated folks.

Mineral oil is better for bedding in new rings etc, I say one tank full taking it easyish i.e. not canning it then revert to semi or fully synth and it soiuld be fine. That worked for my 3rd muggy piston
