headset
i recently sold a top and bottom headset for a chromering series 3 on ebay. i thought they were genuine not remade as i brought them as used about 13 years ago.the guy i sold them to wants his money back as they are not marked innocenti but have the part numbers 19.76 1002 for the top and 19.76 1010 for the bottom,i have no argument with this man and will pay him back but could anyone tell me if they were always marked innocenti or if spanish or anyother country were they marked i just dont think its a remade copy THANKS
I have headsets with the same markings. I acquired these 20 odd years ago and so am quite sure they are not remade. They don't carry any innocenti logo and despite having the same numbers as a chrome ring innocenti headset I have, the 'font' is different. I plan to sell these soon and believe that they are Spanish.

Not sure about the Innocenti marks but the Indians used the original Italian moulds so therefore you can get parts that are marked with the correct Italian part number but are in fact made in India and may be slightly differant. i had a similar situation some years back with a headset bottom and the bars were a differant size to Italian ones.
