Got a rapido race 200, whats the best thing to do with this (other than bin it) ;)
looking to bore it out to 225 to drop the timings down but what crank spec would go well with it.
looking a solo tourer for a 15 ish stone rider.

your thoughts please.

no reason at all to bin it mate.....

give Chalkie white a call at Replay Scooters in Rothwell. lots of Race experience with Race Rapidos around 30HP and very reliable,,.....

not that I'm biased lol

Chalkie will build you one of his 'special ' cranks with Jap rod........ superb....

Don't forget to tell him I sent you!

I've got 6,000 hard miles on mine. don't know how many stone but I'm 6'4" and go about 225-235 lbs. I've got a Jap rod and a Mb race tour piston and the bugger goes like stink. I love it! I'm usually the second fastest guy around. Don't bin it! I think my displacement is 216. Love mine.

Darren here from the lambretta club of south australia ,had my race rapido 200 for about 5 years ,spec , 34mm mikuni ,jl4 pipe, center squish high comp head , variatronic,60mm mec crank, goes like stink , even in extreme weather conditions over here, i sat the scoot on 60 mph for over 80 miles in 42 to 45 degrees celsius ,thats about 110 for you guys i think, i was riding back from kangaroo island with a british lad [jamie kerr ,blackpool lambretta club ] on his ts1 , it was like opening an oven door and sticking your head in,the rapido ran perfect, i will say the best thing i have done to it is fit a 60mm crank [no pack plate , thick head gasket] it runs better and pulls into headwinds.

Chalkie is the man!

I've just had my Rapido in for a tweek. Started life as a 200 Classic, re-bored to a 225 with MB racetour, 60mm Maz crank, 28mm delly, JL3. 19lbs torque and 24 bhp!

Chalky built (or tuned) Ed Hocking's group 4 Rapido and he was as fast as anyone around 3 Sisters at the weekend.
Only trouble is that he's darn sarf.
