The Saigon Scooter centre offers what looks like a direct copy of the Taffspeed pipe. With the originals no longer available, or have I been misinformed? I'm interested to know if anyone here has had any experience and an opinion on them? The fit, gauge of steel, welds, dimensions, etc.

I know they're a copy, but, if the originals are no longer on sale then....

Taffspeed are making the mark 4, they had 5 in a fortnight ago.

I have one of the SSC copies from a few years ago. Seemed ok except for the contents of the endcan rattling about a lot.

I read about cracked ones in the old LCGB forum. Also the are not made that well if you look at the details - and that is the reason to buy a Taffspeed pipe - the bulletproof quality! If you only want the same characteristics an performance you can buy an JL3 (wich also is an old Taffspeed copy...).

I had an inkling they might not be upto same industrial standard as the Taffy. But I suppose that's reflected in the price less than 1/3 of the original.

I cannot really afford a new JL or MK4 now. I've got a JL #2 & #4 sitting round doing nothing...but no #3 :(
Although, I've never really liked the old JL endcan/tailpiece, the new style is much nicer for me.

Will a Taffy endcan/tailpipe fit a JL...has anyone tried this?
If it does I might try SSC for the tailpipe only and try and swap/sell one of my JL's, PM, Swift, Scoot RS, RS Tuning Clubman, KBA clubman, 48mm Underkickstart Fresco for the #3.

Markus - have you got a photo you could put up of how it looks? Did you have to alter or add anything to make it sit/fit right?

Also what was the reason you tried it...just for the look like I wanna do...or is there any increased back pressure or performance change?
