Imola vs RB200

Been thinking about a small block kit for fun with maybe a 30mm Dellorto and JL4 pipe with Li 150 gearbox. Want it to have a grin factor and heard good things about the Imola and particularly in it's latest incarnation, but is the RB worth a look? It's around £100 cheaper so is it complete with cylinder head and a straight fit out of the box or will I need to fettle to fit. What performance could I expect?
Any opinions welcome :-)
Cheers

Hey up Mike, i think you have to use a 116mm rod with the RB20, not sure about the Imola, make sure you cost this in before taking the plunge.

Thanks Gary, that'll level the playing field assuming a MEC black race or SIL crank can be used in the RB with a 116mm Jap rod conversion. So that leaves whether a cylinder head is required to cost in how easily it is to fit and how it performs against the Imola?

As far as iam aware Mike you dont get a head with any RB kit, so its not a kit rearly  , still might work out cheaper than the Imola though mate.

Best gin factor ive been on for years has been a smallframe.Cheap to do and actually faster than a lot off bigger cc Lammies.
But if your over 6ft or fat then you may look silly.

remember seeing a test of small casing kits in scootering, i have been looking at both options and the imola is winning at the moment simply because it is tried and tested and has been improved over the years

Mike
I assume the Casa and Mugello are not considered racey enough? But what about the RT190, or isn't it available yet?
Cheers,
Nigel

Hi Nigel, yes, Casa and Muggy aren't really in the running and the RT is too expensive to start and will possibly require further tuning as it's a fast touring kit rather than the rev monster I'm looking for.
