dellorto pilot jet help

got a 55,and 50 pilot to try out in my new dellorto

was wondering do i need to change the emulsion tube every time as well. i.e

55 pilot 55 emulsion tube and so on

i've read that people take these out but then again they wouldn't be there for no reason.. :? :?

dellorto 28mm carb by the way

If you mean the atomiser (AV or AS type), then no as this works with the main jet which is screwed into the bolt which holds the float chamber (underneath).

its not the atomiser mate, its the jet tube under the pilot jet

i contacted mb's and they said to just leave it in, mine's 62 emulsion tube... he did say you can leave them out aswell

They have these emulsion tubes in a few of the dellorto carbs behind the pilot jet, I think its to help fine tune progression from tick over to slide. Ive run with & without them and found very little difference.

the reason you got so few replies is cos its not a 28mm phbh is it... :lol: :roll:

its merely the fact that you posted a question relating to a 28mm phbh ,and obviously its not one....hence your dissapointment in replies ....you confused folk with your mis information.......thats all. :lol:

These 28mm dellorto carbs normally work well. Ive set up a few in the past, I like them!!! Very good responsive carb with good reliability once set, and fairly economical to run... 8-)
