to give me a bit more range riding back from spain, I'm thinking about adding a bike tank between the seat & legshields.
I want to be able to easily bolt on/off the whole assembly, as i will probably only use it for long trips.
What tanks fit in there well ?
I'm thinking pre-65 trials type tanks...
any pics of lambrettas with tanks there ?

Doesn't Frank Sanderson do a SS90 style tank for that, or is that a dummy tank? Might be worth a call.

why not use a gs tank that goes in the spare wheel carrier, saves messing up your scooter.

I haven't got a spare wheel carrier...
and the plan is to have something that bolts on with minimal alterations to the bodywork. i don't mind drilling the odd hole or maybe welding a bracket on, it's only a piece of 45 yr old Italian metal after all

Have a look here, looks quite a simple job to fit...

I think the one on the KTM is it's only fuel tank, as it looks like the seat won't be able to be lifted to access the std lammy tank. Tank would need angling downwards at the rear then it might foul the toolbox door? Frank.......????

Upsetter- on the cover of the latest Jetset, has a nice tank which would work on yours
And it looks like a removable one

If I remember correct it is in addition to the tank frank made for this scoot to give it a better range and the option is there to remove but you are right martin Byron will need to have a think regarding the seat
