Sounds great apart from having to change to a 60mm crank, so makes you wonder if it's worth splashing out for a new crank into the bargain.

As luck would have it, I have a 60/110 hpc crank. I'm just after any heads up on fitting and setting up and any issues that users may have encountered.

Have you contacted any of the dealers who supply the kits ?

The question was in reference to the Mugello kit and a 60/110 crank

This is a copy'n'paste of some of the emails I recieved and they all seem to tell there own story;

"Hi
We do not stock any kit to work with a 60 stoke 110mm rod, only 60 stroke 108mm, are you sure it is 110 rod as unless it has been converted I am not sure they make one?
Sorry
Regards"

Another email;

"Hi Frank!

That is a strange info. You can use the 60/110 crank with every Lambretta cylinder kit.

The 110 mm con rod gives a better angle to the big end, so you will have less stress on that part. If you simply use the 3 mm packing plate the timings are effected as with the use of a 107 mm con rod 60 mm crankshaft.

So I can’t see a single point why you shouldn’t use it. And it is not only Scooter Center recommending this crankshaft setup as the best available. It was originally invented by MB Developments, which are known for the engine building abilities.

If you have any further questions or you do need more details or facts, please let me know!

Cheers "

And I also have this email;

If you had a RT kit then it all works no problem.

The problem is there is no back up with any Tino Mugello products as no ones seems to know what they are doing.

You need to set it up with what ever head or cylinder packer so you get good transfer, exhaust anf inlet timings.

I can tell you out RT timings which work perfect and give a better power output engine compared to the Mugello.

I dont know the transfer timings on your kit as every kit I see is different and rubbish.

Aim for the piston at bottom dead center to be level with the transfers, do a port timing test and tell me the results.

It maybe a 3 or 4mm or something other packer
