just stripped a TS1 top end, and there are a couple of small chips on the piston. on the top left as you look at in the barrel of the skirt between the gudgeon pin & bottom
don't look recent, the bore looks fine.

can these be dressed up and the piston re-used, or is it a write-off ??

will post some pics when i can find some batteries for the camera

it was the bottom right, when the piston was held the right way round...
I took it down the club meet tonight, general opinion was that it would be fine with a bit of dressing up, and doing the other side to match and retain some balance.
I never found the batteries either...
