Anyone have any experience of the Franspeed Powerpipe? I currently have an NK which is to revvy (i think this is what they are referring to below when they say "AF pipes") Im not that heavy and dont do 2 up so the power pipe sounds like it could be the go. I realise i will likley lose the powerband that i have but i cant handle the lumpy splutter when low down. Hoping this will still be quick but more drivable at low speeds.

Anyone got any feedback

Suitable for the RB Kit, the Franspeed Tourer has been developed for rallies 2 up riding. The power delivery was coming into the power band at 4000 revs and peaked at 8000rpm.
The Franspeed Powerpipe was slightly different. The power was coming in at 5000rpm and pulling up to 8500rpm. Both pipes were very tourqey compared to the AF pipes which have been developed to extract the maximum revs from this kit. We have gone for a mid range power approach. Both exhausts will be available in approx. 3 weeks. They are of mild steel construction and come with a stainless end can or carbon fibre.

Hi mate if it's for the RB20 i'd go for the tourer.
Tried both on mine the revvy one was as you describe bit gurgly low down then off like a bullet , good fun but not very sensible Tourer different breed more civilised easier to ride plenty tourque and more importantly didn't lose a lot of top end ( gps confirmed).

Baz do you mean you tried both the Franspeeds (tourer, power pipe) or the NKs? If it was the Franspeeds was the Powerpipe that bad? Last thing i want to do is spend £300 on a pipe that gives me what i already have... I have had a jarspeed hand made one on that was on my mates RB and it was the nuts but he wanted it back. Have also had a JL3 on which wasnt as revvy as the NK but not as smooth as the Jarspeed. Only prob is the jarspeed is £350...ouch

What i really need is to have all the pipes layed out and then try them one by one to see which one i like best, but that aint gonna happen....

Powerpipe is same as race pipe. I sell them but call them Franspeed race. The race will give similar performance to the NK as they're both revvy race pipes, except the Franspeed is of superior manufacture and quality. I'd go for the Franspeed Tourer if you don't like revvy pipes.
Though I'd stump up the extra dosh for the Jahspeed if it's as good as you say.

Is the franspeed tourer similar to the JL3 performance wise ? And is the tourer the one RBgaz has flagged up in his above post?

I think the tourer is based on the JL3 but in RB version it produces power at high revs because thats the idea of the RB.

Yes mate tried them both , and found the tourer the better one , still grin factor there but not as much of a powerband kick in the pants . Guess it's down to how you drive mate , long journeys/short, touring , racing around town etc etc.
