Anyone had any problem with these tubes. ie a brand new one punctured? Bought one a while ago to replace the punctured spare that came with my bike - it had a small pin-sized hole on the centre seam and understand puncture repair is ill-advised.

Having got the show on the road decided I better have my spare with me, but a few hours after inflating in was down. Took tube out and found the cause - not just a small pin-sized hole on the centre seam again, but in the exact same spot, ie same distance from valve and same spot in relation to crossing seams!

Have checked the obvious, ie rim/tyre in case it there was a "sharp" present that may just have recreated the original problem, but nothing. Has anyone else had this problem, might it be a manufacturing fault on a batch? Although one was manufactured in Serbia and the second "by FR in Yugoslavia".

Do yourself a BIG favour and ditch the Airstops. The best option available are the Correctomundo tubes sold by Corrado on here and also here http://www.sandyscooters.com/catalog/pr ... cts_id=908 the link gives you all the background info you need.

DO NOT use patched tubes, it is not worth the risk

If the second tube said it was made in Yugoslavia, it may be a little bit dated: the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia was dissolved in 1992....

No idea, I ordered 2 about a month ago and they arrived within a few days.

Sandy scooters ceased trading a week ago,which is a great shame.

Just after posting was searching through other related posts about proper tubes and valve position and promptly ordered 3 Mypols from Just Lambretta - take it these are the ones? Take it they are okay front or back?

I have to say I was very sceptical about the Airstops, ie the fact some dealers sell different ones depending on whether for front or back. You would think all Lammy dealers would only sell what's fit for purpose, ie valve properly located and the one tube fits front or back as standard. I appreciate some folk like brand names but they should be left to source elsewhere if they want to take the risk with unsuitable tubes.

I have to admit I bought the replacement Airstop as I was thrown by the description of the valve being suitable for Lambretta front wheel, meaning valve angle rather than offset position on tube. When I received it I expected the valve to be in a different position from the one I was replacing but no, and same tight and stretched fit!

The mystery of the hole in the exact same spot can go in the bin with the Airstops!

I found the coreectumundo ones were not a very good fit on Wide Lambretta Rims anyone else had this ??

One of mine went on a wide rim, I didn't notice any problem fitting the tube. What was the problem you had?
