Its a suzuki 225 conversion, very popular in the 80's. The only downside to this kit was the 18mm gudgeon pin in the piston which used to be solved by sleeving the piston down to 16mm, this caused problems when the sleeves failed.
This kit has had that problem solved with the use of an Ape rod, and also looks very well ported.
Could be a reliable and fast piston ported kit.
Bit expensive for my taste though.

1) I personally wouldnt have that conversion done in the first place, i think there are better options out there (as does the seller!). But as for...is it worth it to buy second hand....well that can only be answered by the person buying it. In practical terms though, 2 x wiseco pistons etc, crank with upgraded rod, bearings, welded pin, ported and tuned cylinder, matching head and inlet manifold.......£500 isnt a crazy price (or £540 with postage) especially when you consider the original RRP of all the bits and the tunig/porting work done, but in this current financial climate.......its probably not quite a bargain either.....and everybody loves a bargain.fishi wrote:

Without specifically checking (so i might be wrong), i think £540 would get you a brand new TS1 kit and new AF crank from Rayspeed....which i would rather have than this.........but as i say, its worth can only be judged by the person buying it......as if its what they want....then its worth it!

2) Will it have the power told? lol

Does that help?

No idea mate, this is his ebay user name: http://myworld.ebay.co.uk/xtra555/ i dont recognise it, maybe someone else on here knows?
Whoever it is, it looks like a nice bit of kit, he's obviously a fellow scooterist, and has 100% feedback, so if the kit is right for you and you want it, you should be OK, looks like a trusted seller.

surely he is atrusted seller, that was not what I intended to know.
The seller told me he has an 25 year old experiance in Lambrettas and Vespas, so I think he is older than me, and probably you !!!

The barrel is also linered, BUT NOT from MB-Development, as Mark has confirmed me this by e-mail.
Hmm, buy or not buy ??? Thats the question. If I buy it only because I like oldschool stuff !!
Cheers
