changing the slide

I've been running a VHSA28 for about 7000 miles, I bought it second hand and the slide is a bit worn...
the last 5000 miles on a 186 Mugello
spent some time setting it up, and it has proved reliable in all conditions and riding styles.
spec, with an 80s Mikeck pipe, is :

main 130
needle K21
atomiser DQ260
pilot 53
slide 55

new slides are more than £50 from eurocarb, which seems a bit excessive.
but I did find a much less used 60 slide in a VHSB ~ my mistake, it was a VHSA32

seems to fit ok, slightly larger cutout on the slide, so what is likely to need changing to compensate for that ? or should I just ride it and do some more proper plug chops again... or should I not worry too much being slightly weaker up to ¼ throttle ish....
I'll probably just sling it in and try it, meanwhile I've stuck my 32mm Amal on for some induction roar fun

or anyone got a nice 55 slide going spare....?
