Running a 12V conversion loom, (Green, Brown, Black to head light junction) got horn and all lights working, rear, brake + speedo.. but headlight wont come alive!! Theres nothing happening when light switch is pressed.. got the switch out and it seems fine too with all wires intact.
Both reg and CDI are correct with all wires located firmly.
Ive checked the headlight bulb over, looks fine, on top of that done a few lottery-combos in the lighting junction but to no avail...
Not sure where else to look.
all lights on except headlight

Just been down this road my friend it drives you insane....it turned out the switch was faulty and the earth to the headlight bulb wasnt working, try separte earth straight to bulb holder earth side of the main bulb, I also had problems with the bulb holder arcing, if you can get your hands on a multi tester see if the earth to main bulb is giving power...mine was..

Just had a similar problem. All set to put in a new ignition switch when I thought I'd better check a few basics......
Bad earth on the headlight holder
Soldered a wire directly onto it and earthed the other end as well as sorting the original arrangement.
The bit I hate is that if anyone else had asked me I'd have said "check your earths, it's usually that!" ...doh!
Hope you get it sorted!
Cheers,
Nigel

Sounds very like a bad earth, as others have said. Check the bulb holder where the bulb rests against the earth in the bulb holder itself sometimes they are bent too far in missing the needed contact with the side of the bulb, If this is OK then its probably the contact from here to earth through the connectors bulb holder and earth in the headset.
Hope you find the fault before it drives you mad...
