R stands for resistor 5000 ohms, needed for electronics using cdi types of circuits if you want to prolong the duration of the spark. a supressor cap uasualy has the resistor fitted.

5000 ohms NGK resistor plug cap plus 5000 ohms resistor spark plug ????
How will this affect the timing, as I am still convinved that when I used the above set up (I am running the smaller plugs as I have an MMW Cyl Head) , that when strobing this affected the timing by retarding the spark !!!!
Any thoughts on this ?
