I came a cropper on some diesel last year and wrecked the paintwork
I havn`t realy got money for a full profesional paint job and had some niggles like a leaky petrol tank, poor speedo.
So I have thrown another grand at it and I won`t have to worry too much about the paintwork.
Its been ridden all over scandinavia and I just fancied having a scoot that pokes its nose out a little more.
More pics...
reinforced the strut for a sidestand
Can`t afford new footboard strips, and may use skateboard tape?

Ironicly, I have sold a couple of tv2`s that ended up as Gran Sport "resto`s" .
I am actualy realy pleased with the flames, not bad for a first timer.
I am going back in the garage to see if the leggies still fit

Quite a few hours in the garage yesterday.
I hellicoiled the engine case and swapped a few dodgy crankcase studs.
Tapped the holes in the maghouse so that I have a full set of screws again.
Drilled and tapped a fin for the heat sensor.
Fit the cowlings.
Pipe got som bandage, if you plan on doing this use some gloves as I learnt the hard way (ouch) Fingers are full of fibre now

Fit the pipe (looks MEAN!)
Back out in the garage...
I am, like many others I know a complete idiot when it comes to wireing and Byron off thse boards is a genius! He is making me an easy to follow diagram including battery and dials and its all going to be connected in the toolbox. He is a top fella, and will save me loads of time. I think I used about two weeks of swearing last time I build the scoot

At the mo I have been messing about fitting the leggies. The holes where they fit the frame are now wider after the weld job so I`ll have to have a look at that later.
To get them on I had to take off the fork and chrome ring so they are just on loose at the mo so I can get under them for the wireing and new cables.
In order to order new cables I have to determin the hight of my bars something I also have to fix.
Firstly, to get these to go clear of the leggies I have to angle them quite high. That in turn pushes the bars way out front.
The problem here is that i am a shortarse and its going to be a tw@7 to ride.
The angle I think it will ride best in is this but I`ll need more hight.
There are a few ways to achive some hight.
1. Higher risers
2. Shim the bottom of the risers I have
3. Use a riser shim like this..
adapters.
Looking at the measurments I need a total of 2.5 inch.
I`m not sure what the best method would be?
