Anyone running a Jetex 22mm on a lammy 200?
Could you give me your jetting as a start point please?

Andy

I have run one on a 200 as follows:-

Main 123/125
Pilot 48/50
Starter 50

Atomiser- 5899/2 (Jetex don't tend to mark these!)

Slide- the one without the cutout

Ignore the "3/4" max turnout for the Air Screw.

Cheers Chris, i'm investigating a mate's scooter. It's a poor starter. I'll check it out later this week.

Jetex's can be notorious as "poor starters". I think a lot of the problems stem from the fact that the choke unit is NOT the same length as the dellorto one (not sure if its longer or shorter), consequently the choke adjustment needs to be spot on.

Also for some reason, they tend to run very "lumpy" on start up, although do settle down once warm.

All mine have been fine and perform well apart from the "lumpiness"

Good Luck

Chris

Having said all that, my mates scooter is equiped with a Jetex and nothing will make it start apart from 20 odd kicks- some carbs are just crap.

ok chaps...steady on ,no need to tell each other someones talking b@11@x..

we all know jetex carbs are a law unto themselves, and do differ somewhat to dellys...in various departments, such as jet sizes, atomiser holes etc etc...
so why not just try a larger choke jet to see if it helps.

also ,bare in mind the following requirements for good starting..
suitable Timing
good compression
and of course adequate rich mixture from choke...
