I always had a figure in mind of approx £125-£175 for an Indian frame....or £225-£275 for same frame with a log book (more for Italian stuff).

Its nowt to do with the seller either, he's just banged it on ebay......but who the hell is bidding that much on an indian frame???

i wud not think that the numbers on the frame match the logbook,
and if they do well,

Agree it's probably the J reg that's sold it. But there's no law to stop anyone putting an older plate on a newer machine, it's the other way round you can't do.

i think you will find it has a J plate becouse it has been re registered you can buy plates from that era for about £149 i know some people just want there indian scoot to look italian nothing wrong with it all legle i asked him some questions yesterday and he was a bit elusive

its an indian 1978 frame i re/ reg it for the j plate and is reg asa lambretta 200 22/000078--- as u can see INDIAN thanks kev

so he hasnt really answered my question
the fact that is reg as a 200 means nothing i have had 2 scooter that are reg as 200,s one was a italian gp 125 frame no 22/1# 001xxx the other an unstamped indian frame both said lambretta gp 200 on the log book thats not to be confused with the 150,s that are sold/advertised as gp 200,s when the logbook says super vijay 150 or similar something, 5 yrs ago DVLA didnt have a clue about scooter numbers and you could reg things as what you wanted any buyer needs to check the log book against the frame numbers
if you think about it this frame is prob worth what he is asking or has been bid
frame = £125-150
registration process £55 minimum could be more if you need to take it to the vlo plus your time fuel etc
reg plate £150 again minimum might be worth more plus transfere fee,s are nearly £100

He should have covered up more of the number plate

Still got tax on it too...............

someone is gonna be disapointed with that frame if they know anything about scooters , i know that proper 22/2 indian frames go for about £225-£250

and as u say it may b only a 150 frame,thats had a 200 lump in it,
