I'm currently having my engine rebuilt and I'm wanting a 225 kit on it.
What's the opinions on the kits available apart from a TS1 or RB2(I've had problems with my RB22 so staying away from them at the mo).
What's best Mugello,Rapido Monza etc
I don't want a steel linered kit.
Options for 225 kit
I have a rapido 225 classic runs well but its only a std classic running through an air box with a reamed out 22mm to 25.4mm not fast but pulls well two up, would top out at about 70mph but its never been dynoed so cant give any power figures, but for whats it is and totally std its pretty good. These are a steel liner cast in BTW.....

Cheers for that, didn't realise that these had a liner thought they were a full ally kit.
I do not try to explain why I ride Lambrettas,
For those who understand, no explanation is necessary,
For those who don't, no explantion is possible.

The Rapido is more of a steel barrel with an alloy jacket around it rather than the cheap ebay kits which are alloy with a steel liner. The Rapido is a much better quality kit than the ebay ones. The Monza is more or less the same as a TS1, it's a reed valve kit. The Mugello is more like a std barel but made of alloy with nicasil lining, it's the safest option although believe it's not quite as tuned as the 186 version in std form. Other options about to come onto the market are the Casa 215 kit and the MB Racetour kit in various sizes up to 240 if the jungle drums are correct.
