Heres a pic of my smallie casings with Aprillia RS125 cylinder attached.

The casings have been machined for the cylinder to fit, and machined to fit a 54mm full circle crank

Sill got to remove lots of the ally welding as I had loads of weld put on as I wasnt sure what Id need, this is only the second smallie engine that I ve built so Im learning as I go along :frog:

Next job is to fit the crank to check that the measurements for the packer height were correct :D

Lots more to do so I'll stick a few pics up as and when
Stay tuned..............

Ive only got one option and thats to get one custom made.
Ive already spoken to a number of people about it and just weighing up my options at the moment

Interesting.

I have an Aprillia barrel and cagiva Mito barrel in the workshop awaiting such a project. Lots of things are holding me back at the moment, but I have at least looked at the problems with such conversions.

I thought the Cagiva barrel to be slightly easier to fit, as it was simpler to extract the water from the bottom of the barrel. However, the challenges are many, especially once you start making serious power. What are you doing for a clutch?

I am going to follow this with interest. I love it.

exhaust wise, consider using the std aprillia one, just adapt it to fit and give it a longer reflective cone to suit your four speed box........also a slightly longer down pipe....
just an idea ,and if you could do this your self it could save you £100s :D
one off pipes can be very expensive, would not be suprised if you,ve had quotes of £500 plus.

Ive just checked on fleabay and it looks like I could pick up a standard pipe for the better side of £100.
With my budget being hindered slightly reasontly this could get me back on track and on the road in just over a month me thinks.
I'll ask a few more questions later about how best to alter it when I get round to a pipe Sean ;) ;) ;)
Stay tuned..............
