About to seal a tank..

I'm just about to seal a new tank, if I pour the whole can of sealant in the tank and swill it around for 10 minutes as per instructions - should I pour off any excess or just leave the tank on it's side so that any excess sets away from the filler or outlet boss?

Any other tips for sealing?

Use as the instructions say regarding quantity and rotate for the recommended time or a bit more. I set the tank to rest and cure so that any excess can run out the fuel tap hole.

Why bother sealing a tank just take your time and keep washing it out, then fit a good quality filter. Any way you dont go fast enough to worrie about your petrol tank :bouncing: :bouncyeng:

Carl, It's a far eastern origin tank and I don't want to worry about it springing a leak so I'm just sealing for peace of mind ;)
