headset tap.?

Someone please tell me the tap size for headlight rim screws..Im guessing about 4mm as 5mm falls in so need to order one and need to get the correct one..GP headset BTW.. mines full of powder coat...

M3 or 3.5 ?

3mm at .50 pitch. Just filled and retapped one myself.

i believe if the thread has gone and you can live with not being exactly standard, you can tap 3.5mm (the same thread as light switch screws)

3mm will do fine thanks chaps...thread not knacked just full of powder coat and needs a tap running through..
