Hi
I have a jet 200, 6v with indicators and battery.....

Thought the battery was discharged, so stuck on charge... seemed ok, so put it back on the scooter..

nothing... everything that is controlled by the battery is dead.. (that's everything except the ignition!) checked the fuse... ok...

so where do i start?
suppose it could be the ignition switch (it's the type thats at the rear of the seat)
or is there a way of bypassing the battery to get it up and running??

any thoughts would be appreciated
thank you
david

Dave, if you suspect the ignition switch just short the brown to the red & brown on it, everything should then work. Don't leave them connected though, as the battery will go flat.

problem sorted!!

wasnt the switch... was the power lead from the battery, a bit of chaffing meant it was partially earthing on the petrol tank, also it had been routed by the petrol tap rod and had worn thru there, too..

all up and running again!!
