I've got a standard 200 engine and carb (20mm), that will be running an indian cylinder and piston etc. Will it be ok to use a 48mm clubman for this set up, or is this exhaust too big?
Thanks.

Thanks for the reply Sean, but the scoot's a jet, so not sure if I can get a 22mm carb rubber to suit the airbox.

The airhose will go over a 22mm carb with a little patience and hot water to intitially stretch the hose. A decent clamp will then hold it in position as it cools over carb mouth. I have a Series 80 Jet with the toolbox airbox set up with a St.4 200 barrel, 22mm carb and Ancillotti sito

Went upto AF to buy a 48mm clubman for are lass,s Muggy and was told by Ben i,d be better useing a 42mm on a 200 because i would loose too much at the bottom end with the 48mm on a 200, they did have both in stock by the way.

Thanks for the replies.I'll try to stretch the carb rubber over a 22mm.The reason I want to use the 48mm clubman is I've already got one in the garage.
Thanks again.

What I have done is taken a jet rubber and a GP rubber and splice them, one will fit inside the other, then you can run Jet rubber to box and GP rubber to carb, no need for a clip where they join, the ribs keep it together. Have done two like that with no probs.

i would go for a 42mm the 48mm loses alot of power down at the bottom end.i had a 48mm changed
it to a 42mm ran alot better.
