Helped a mate fit a RB kit on his bike and we fitted him a TM 32 becase it was going begging and we wanted to keep the cost down, this carb was previously on a TS1 and worked well, anyhow, the choke seems to be too small to start it from cold, its working fine and the bike starts well if you put your hand over the mouth of the carb to richen it up, trouble is the choke on these carbs is a press fit and cant be changed, has anyone come across this before, can it be safely drilled out, any other cures for this, cheers.

Didnt get any replys but heres a update anyway incase its of use to someone in the future, the choke is a press fit but can be removed with mole grips under the choke tube is the choke jet, this can also be removed, i didnt measure the size of the hole in the jet, i didnt have anything small enough but i would say less the 0.5mm, anyhow, borrowed a 1.0mm drill bit, held the drill in a vice and turned the jet bit onto it, the narrow part is only a couple of mm deep, refitted the choke and the bike started 1st kick at -2 degrees sunday morning :D , job done. PS, you can do the same on the TMX 35, took one to bits to compare.
