Going to service my T-Max, and I've decided to run it on fully synthetic engine oil.
It takes 3.6 litres of semi synthetic oil as standard. So If I run it on high quality fully synthetic engine oil instead, then with its far better lubrication I was reliably informed that I would be able to run it with about half the amount of oil, and less oil means saving some money, but it will still have the very high quality lube in the engine.
So what I was going to do was run it with just over half the original amount, about 2 litres... Is it a good idea??
T-Max, oil change to Synthetic.

Even better idea is to use 275ml of grease which is just concentrated oil really - save even more money, I thought this up watching a Fairy liquid advert and have never had any problems and I believe HRC do something similar in their Fireblades.
id be inclined to use the correct amount and have longer between services or oil changes, there is an oil condition check kit you can buy ive not bought one but some of our vehicals(military) need a yearly service some only do 3-15 miles so rather than change the oils we check them and are saving around 90% of the total cost, some of the oils OMD80/OMD90 can be used in cars and it wasnt uncommon for people(cough) to take the "old"oil home , now with the oil waste registar we cant do that as all old oil has to be accounted for and we know have to pay for its removal
