my mate got a bit carried away cutting a channel for the big end of a 60mm crank in his casing. there is a pin hole at the top in between the silent bushes. question is would jb weld be suitable for the job?
thanks Simon

I wouldn't trust it, but then I'm not the biggest fan of JB Weld. Best to get it properly done, then he won't have to worry about it failing.

i would be more worried that the rest of the channel is only just short of going through and the crankcase may come in half..

however if it is just an isolated pin hole, although getting it welded would be the best, some sort of eppoxy type repair (jb weld, devcon, etc) will probably do the job..

use a product called dav-con if poss or get it welded if you go the welded route maybe a band of allie 30mm wide around the area you have cut out
