R1 rear shock

hey all . is there a certain year of the yam r1 that the rear shock will fit to a lambretta, or will all fit?? its a toss up between the new bgm or a r1??

personally i would go for the bgm its designed for a lambretta the R1 shock is for ? an R1 unless its going to be striped re valve re sprung etc, ££ you might aswell go for the bgm looks nicer aswell.

The R1 shock does not fit SI or SII frames very well and you must take care when securing the nuts at the top and bottom. Too tight, and the shock might break.

whilst the nuts need to be tight obviosly,they should not tighten up against the shocker bushes and so restrict the slight amount of movement that they require under suspension movement....

And by using two thin nuts, locking them together , this can be achieved.

Why not use nyloc half nuts?

I would rather use 2 nuts for peace of mind, ;)
