Evening Fella
Which headset / switch type housing have you got? (I've got some instructions for the li S3 trapizoid shaped switch if they are any use)

I understood what you meant. But for info, the different style 'light / horn' switches are wired up different ways :? (I just happen to have the correct way for wiring up a scootrs ignition switch and trapizoid light switch)

-Switch brown to loom brown.
-Switch yellow and two spurs are the power out so connect one to the orange to feed main lights, one to the blacks to feed tail light, if you want the pilot to light as well (although pointless) another to the yellow connector on the bulb holder.
-Switch green goes to earth with black/white connects to green.
-Switch black and red are not needed unless you wish it to control battery fed circuits.

Edited because the original diagram was removed by the seller of said switch.

can somebody just let me know if this is right... done wiring as above................

I've got a h4 connector block on the headlight, which is connected with.... red to red... blue to blue... but does the yellow which comes from the h4 terminal block( which is spare at the moment) just connects to the yellow on the diagram....

is it that easy

Yellow, on the H4, is nothing to do with the yellow on the ignition switch. Of those three wires on the H4 one will be the feed to the main beam filament, one will be feed to the dip filament and the other will be the earth for both. Check them out with a multimeter to find out.

If you measure the resistance between each wires in turn (IE, blue - red, blue - yellow, and red - yellow) Whichever pair give you the highest ohms reading will be the dip/main wires, the other wire will be the the one to connect to earth.
Or contact Coaster as he will know what one is which straight away.
