How do I stop my wiring in the head set from jumping loose with the crap terminals that are on the wiring. The bullet connectors dont fit into the junction box very well, their just that little to small. I have attemted to use modern bullet connectors, but they are to big... its never ending. Can some one help and tell me what else i can use. Or is there something I can buy from the Lambretta shop.

best to use the best quality bulb holder you can find, as the cheap ones are $%*t you can then do one of two things, if your bullet connecters are too small , gently with a small screwdriver close the diameter of the female connectors in the bulb holder

with some oversized bullet connectors you can carefully close them with pliers, don't just squeeze them but gently and evenly close the diameter turning in the pliers as you pinch

if all this fails ......solder them in!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like you have a wire tie too far up on the fork tube holding the loom, and maybe the loom too low down causing tension on the wiring as you turn the handlebars.

i have same issue, but i remeber seeing a write up in scootering 2 issues back i think, where they were pushing what looks like new quality junction boxes. Not sure how you go about getting a link im afraid ill dig the old copies out if you want?

Done this myself with new headlight bulb holders and it works fine..then like jims said check and make sure you have plenty of slack in the part of the loom coming up the fork stem for turning purposes..

Not so sure about the tin foil though..can cause arcing IMO..

I had the same problem all last year with an H4 conversion kit, wires dropping out even though there was plenty of slack. Eventually took the junction box off and put a punch that fits inside the female connector in a vice and with a larger punch and lightish hammer, placed the connectors over the lower punch and flattened the crimp between the female connector and the bridge that spans between the paired, or tripled, connectors, to re tightened them, then using a large capacity soldering iron, soldered the joint and cooled it again very quickly to stop the plastic melting too much. That cut out any resistance problems between connectors. I tried tightening the tension on the female connector, but that soon loosened again. So I took out the loose male connectors, cleaned them with emery paper and gave each a tinning with solder to increase the diameter, so far that's worked. Bit long winded but works.
