Series 1/2 kickstart pedal so it clears the wider footboards

Won't you also need a series 2 side casing? Or extend the bit that rests on the rubber stop?

Yes: extended by approx 50mm to reach the rubber stop: easy weld job, but better done on an old lever/b4 choromin'

The chaincase side will fit, but remember that the SIL endplate is a different design (has the kick start ramp as part of the endplate, rather than part of the chaincase side).
Also, the S2 doesn't have the strengthening webs around the kickstart shaft, so you might find it will crack if you're using a larger capacity motor.

Easy option is to extend the part on the kickstart so it reaches the bump stop.
Harder option (with risk of crankcase side breaking where kickstart shaft goes in) use S1/2 crankcase side.
Harder option with more reliability - use a Spanish crankcase side where they are beefed up round the kickstart area.

I have an odd casing here. A S3 casing without the extra enforcing ribs, looks like a S1/2 where the kickstart shaft is, but is definately S3 where the kickstarts bumb stop is. Anyone know what this is? Pre-pre-mod S3 perhaps?
