Hi All,
Just fitted a new Monza 225 engine (with the super monza piston etc..) and am having problems with the low settings, the full spec is MEC 58mm crank, GP200 gearbox, BGM stator and MB lightened Indian flywheel, Franspeed JL3 and as advised by CamLam a 30mm phbh.
The main issue is low down, the scoot starts first kick, ticks over fine but on the road is virtually unrideable due to boggong/lack of power, as soon as the throttle is opened wide it takes off like a banshee but not ideal on a brand new engine!! the carb settings as supplied by Cam are:
55 pilot
50 Slide
AV268
X2
This sounded way to rich and have tried AV266 with X13 & X2/ X7 but the same effect is still evident. I firmly believe in dynoing a good engine but at the moment i cannot risk getting to Replay (my nearest dyno from Leicester)
Any advise greatly received as i am reluctant to use on the road until sorted.
Is the carb the best for the setup? as this is what CL recommend so i suppose its tried and tested?

Cheers mate, could only get a 52 pilot but works a treat, now booked in with Chalky at Replay for a full dyno.
Many Thanks
